1
Stand facing away from the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Adjust the cable pulley to chest height. Hold the cable handles with arms extended to sides at shoulder level, palms facing forward.
2
Grasp cable handles firmly with a neutral grip. Position body upright with core engaged and slight forward lean. Ensure cables are taut with resistance ready.
3
Slowly allow arms to extend outward and backward in a controlled manner, feeling a stretch across the chest. Maintain slight elbow bend throughout the movement. Keep shoulders stable and avoid excessive arching of the lower back.
4
Powerfully pull both cable handles forward and across the body, bringing hands together at chest level in a hugging motion. Squeeze pectorals at the peak contraction. Return to starting position with controlled resistance, maintaining tension throughout.
