1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart. Grasp the rope or handle attachment with both hands at chest height, arms extended. Maintain a slight knee bend and neutral spine throughout the movement.
2
Position yourself with the cable attachment at approximately chest level. Ensure your torso is upright with core engaged. Grip the handle firmly with both hands, maintaining tension in the cable throughout.
3
Slowly extend your arms forward and upward in a controlled manner, allowing the cable to pull your arms away from your body. This lengthens the latissimus dorsi and upper back muscles as resistance increases.
4
Drive your elbows down and back in a powerful motion, pulling the handle toward your torso. Squeeze the shoulder blades together at the bottom of the movement, creating peak contraction in the lats. Return to starting position with controlled resistance.
