1
Position body in a staggered lunge stance facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, one foot forward and one back. Grasp the rope attachment with both hands at chest height, keeping elbows slightly bent and positioned at sides.
2
Brace your core and maintain a neutral spine. Create tension in the cable by stepping away from the machine to establish resistance. Keep your chest up and shoulders packed back.
3
Slowly extend your arms forward and upward by straightening your elbows against the cable resistance, allowing your torso to rotate and extend slightly. Control the lengthening of the abdominal muscles as tension increases.
4
Pull the rope back toward your body using core and abdominal contraction, flexing the rectus abdominis to draw the ribcage toward the pelvis. Return to the starting position with controlled movement, maintaining tension throughout.
