1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, maintaining neutral spine alignment. Position yourself at a distance where the cable has slight tension at arm's length.
2
Grasp the handle with a neutral grip (palms facing each other) or slight pronation at approximately shoulder height. Engage core and maintain upright torso posture with shoulders slightly retracted.
3
Slowly extend the arm forward and upward, allowing the cable to pull the arm away from the body in a controlled manner. Resist the pull with lat and back muscles through the entire range of motion.
4
Pull the handle down and back toward the torso by driving the elbow down and back, retracting the scapula and engaging the latissimus dorsi. Return to starting position with control and repeat for prescribed repetitions.
