1
Stand facing a cable machine or resistance band anchor point at chest height, feet shoulder-width apart with knees slightly bent. Position yourself in a staggered stance with one foot forward for stability.
2
Grasp the cable handle or band with both hands at chest level, elbows bent approximately 90 degrees. Engage your core and maintain neutral spine alignment throughout the movement.
3
Slowly allow the cable or band to pull your arms back in a controlled manner, letting your chest stretch as your elbows move backward and slightly outward. Maintain tension on the working muscles throughout the eccentric phase.
4
Forcefully press the handles forward by contracting your chest, pushing the load away from your body in a smooth, controlled arc. Return to the starting position with chest engaged, squeezing at the point of full arm extension.
