1
Stand facing a cable machine or resistance band attached to a fixed point at chest height. Position feet shoulder-width apart with knees slightly bent. Maintain an upright posture with core engaged.
2
Grasp the cable handle or band with one hand at chest level. Extend the working arm to the side at approximately 90 degrees, elbow slightly bent. Keep the non-working arm at your side for balance.
3
Slowly allow the cable or band to pull your arm back in a controlled manner, returning to the starting position at chest level. Feel a stretch across the chest and front shoulder.
4
Drive the handle forward by contracting the chest muscles, pressing the resistance away from your body in a fluid arc. Fully extend the arm forward while maintaining a slight elbow bend. Return to chest level with control.
