1
Stand facing a cable machine or resistance band anchor point at chest height. Hold the cable or band handle with both hands at chest level. Position feet hip-width apart, approximately 2-3 feet away from the anchor point.
2
Engage your core and maintain an upright torso with a neutral spine. Keep a slight bend in your knees and ensure your weight is distributed evenly across both feet. Grip the handle firmly with neutral wrists.
3
Initiate the movement by hinging at the hips and flexing forward while maintaining the cable tension. Lower your torso forward by approximately 45-90 degrees, allowing the hips to extend backward. Keep your chest up and spine neutral throughout the descent.
4
Drive through your heels and extend your hips powerfully, returning to the starting upright position. Squeeze your glutes at the top of the movement. Control the return to prevent momentum from carrying you backward, then repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
