1
Lie on your back on a flat surface with knees bent and feet flat on the floor, positioned hip-width apart. Keep feet firmly planted throughout the movement.
2
Place hands gently behind your head with fingers lightly supporting (not pulling) the neck, or cross arms across chest. Maintain neutral spine alignment with slight natural curve in lower back.
3
Lower your torso back toward the floor in a controlled manner by extending the spine, allowing the abdominal muscles to lengthen under tension. Maintain contact with the floor or hover slightly.
4
Drive through core contraction to lift shoulders and upper back off the floor by flexing the spine and bringing chest toward knees. Perform a controlled sit-up motion, exhaling during the concentric phase until returning to starting position.
