1
Sit on the floor with your back reclined at approximately 45 degrees. Hold the resistance band handles with both hands at chest level, keeping your feet secured under the band loop. Your torso should be partially reclined with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
2
Grip both handles of the resistance band firmly with an overhand grip. Secure the band loop under your feet for stability. Ensure your back is slightly rounded and core is engaged before initiating movement.
3
Slowly lower your torso backward toward the floor in a controlled manner, extending through the hip flexors and abdominal muscles. Allow the resistance band to provide tension as you lengthen the abdominal muscles. Maintain contact with the floor and do not fully recline.
4
Powerfully contract the abdominal muscles and pull your torso forward and upward toward your knees using the band resistance. Drive through the core to return to the starting position, finishing with a strong contraction of the rectus abdominis at the top position.
